Did you know? Krist Novoselic, one of Nirvana's founders and its bass player, is an avid accordion player.
We only know of one time when he used it in one of Nirvana's performances. It was during their 1993 MTV unplugged performance when they played the song 'Jesus Doesn't Want Me For A Sunbeam' which is not a Nirvana song.
Krist performed with the accordion and the same song in Nirvana's performance at the LA forum on December 1993, as we can see in this rare footage.
Since the Nirvana days, Krist Novoselic has become even more invested, or "obsessed" as he put it in a Rolling Stone interview, with playing the accordion.
He played it with the 'Foo Fighters', covered Beatles music with it and overall gave this less appreciated instrument a new life.
