There's nothing like chilling in front of a loved TV series and suddenly realizing one of your favorite bands' songs is playing. So here's to all the TV shows we know of that have chosen to feature a Nirvana song...
One of the most known shows to use Nirvana songs was 'American Horror Story' in season 4. Evan Peters from the 'American Horror Story' cast sings 'Come as you are' in a chilling but weirdly appropriate version.
2. 'Six feet under' featured Nirvana's 'All Apologies' in season 5. Appropriate.
3. 'Ozark' kept the vibe going with 'The man who sold the world' in season 2, covered by Wyatt Langmore & Russ Langmore. We liked it - the dark ambience of these shows goes well with Nirvana's songs.
4. Marvel's use of 'Come as you are' for 'The Defenders' series trailer, was more mainstream, but we approve.
5. Followed by 'For all mankind' who also used 'Come as you are' as well. It seems this song is a good fit for many shows, as it is the one that has been most used across the board.
6. 'Beavis and Butt-head' show a very different side of things with their use of 'Smells like teen spirit' in season 2. Or in their own words: 'Nirvana is cool'...is this like, grunge music?'. If you don't know who Beavis and But-head are, welcome to one of the prominent voices of the 90s.
7. We can't but appreciate the somewhat unexpected use of Nirvana's 'Scentless Apprentice' in the season 3 finale of 'Lost'. We love that they went for the less known and expected. The song definitely delivers on power, rage and frustration.
